A misunderstanding is that a group of people working together automatically make up a team.
Working as part of a team can be the most effective, productive and enjoyable way to make a living – likewise, working with a disparate group of people can be soul destroying and demoralising especially where there are different agenda’s, poor communication and little team understanding.
For a team to be productive there needs to be an element of time invested towards the initial set up and ongoing development of the team. This time investment proves to be a real ‘earner’ in the long run as an effective team always achieves more than a group of people.
To attain a productive, motivated team we work to ensure there is a clear focus and an opportunity for people to get to know each other better to strengthen individual relationships.
